Norway, Germany give the World Bank Carbon Fund $93 million to slow deforestation

The governments of Norway and Germany announce on June 21, 2011 donations of US$50 million and US$43 million, respectively, to the World Bank Carbon Fund to reimburse countries like Indonesia, Nepal, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mexico and Costa Rica for their successful efforts in slowing deforestation.
